We look forward to hosting these schools on Friday 9^th September and Friday 23^rd September for a fun day, free from the stress of the effects of the earthquake in their area.

The Year 7/8 children will return from the ski trip between 5 and 5.30pm. This message will be updated should there be a change to this time.

FRIDAY 19TH AUGUST - SKI TRIP IS ON TODAY!

Good morning. The reports have come in and the ski field is fine and roads are clear and safe. The ski trip is on today. Make sure you take your correct clothing. It will be quite cold up there despite the fact that staff expect to see the sun!! Enjoy your trip.

Bring your raincoats and umbrellas. Looks like it will be a very wet day - all day!

PTA Sausage Sizzle is postponed this week...now in week 7, Friday 16 Sept.

The PMP training session, scheduled for yesterday, is now next Tuesday, 23 August. Helpers needed from Wed 24 & Thurs 25 Aug.

WEDNESDAY 17TH AUGUST - SCHOOL IS OPEN

Good morning. School is re-opening this morning. Please remind children to take great care when going to school as there is still a bit of 'slushy snow' on some parts of the pavement but the rain is doing a good job to wash it all away! We will have the rooms nice and warm for the children's return!

SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY OR NOT?

At this point on Tuesday afternoon at 5pm, it is too hard to make a call for Wednesday 17th of August. If the forecast is incorrect and there is a dramatic change in the weather and road conditions, parents and staff are advised that the school is likely to be closed. Please keep checking this website for any updates later tonight or at least by 6am tomorrow.

School closed on Tuesday 16th August

Because of the weather conditions that are likely to deterioate over night, we have decided to close the school on Tuesday. Further updates will be made about 5pm tomorrow.

Snow update

At the moment, there isn't enough snow to close the school so at this stage, school is open tomorrow but I will put an update on this page at 6.30am tomorrow. I hope you are keeping warm and relaxing!

Parents may be concerned about the 'exceptionally cold snap' heading for NZ and likely to strike about Monday. Please keep an eye on this blog as we will update this on Monday morning and let you know if we have to close the school or not.

An extra newsletter went home today re the caretaker's position we have at our school.
