School opens today (Friday 8June) at 10am, with lessons commencing at 10.30am.  If you wish to keep your children home please leave an absence message in the usual way.

PTA AGM

The Avonhead School PTA would like to invite all parents/guardians to their Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Tuesday 27th March in the school hall, followed by a informative evening on Cyber Safety at 7.30pm.

February 22nd - Earthquake observation day

Further to our newsletter last week, the staff have decided that we will observe a minute's silence in the courtyard underneath the flag at the time of the earthquake last year. We will gather the children together and join the nation in the tribute to the people who lost their lives at this time.
